She acquired her birth doula training in Bali, Indonesia under the tutelage of 2011 CNN Hero of the Year, midwife Ibu Robin Lim, US-based midwife Katherine Bramhall, and author-director of Orgasmic Birth, Debra Pascali-Bonaro. Since her training, she has supported over fifty births.

As one of only two Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators (LCCE) trained and authorized to teach principles of Lamaze International in the Philippines, Doula Ros leads the Pinay Doulas Collective (PDC)'s childbirth preparation and newborn care classes as the head trainer and curriculum developer. Doula Ros offers support that is from the heart and rooted in the belief that gentle birth and gentle parenting have a profound impact on the child, the mother, the whole family, and society as a whole.  As a breastfeeding mother and counselor, she has seen the healing power of community support, of women coming together in sisterhood and friendship to share and continue the wisdom of our foremothers partnered with evidence-based practices.

She is an all-inclusive birth keeper who will support your birth choices. She will not push any agenda on you but instead will provide you with educational resources and materials, with the aim of helping you make informed decisions.

Also, as a woman who gave birth via cesarean in 2012, she believes and knows first-hand how women who give birth via cesarean need more support during birthing, and especially in the immediate postpartum period. She is also intimately aware of the plight of women who aim for a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), which she went through for her second birth in 2019. Her two experiences in birthing puts her in a unique position as a birth worker and educator.
